I'm SO ready for my summer break. There are only 9 more school days until summer, yahoo!

Yesterday I went on a photoshoot for my friend Sally, who has the CUTEST style. For reals. I was shooting her, but she insisted on snapping a few of me in this pretty field too.  Here is yesterdays outfit and today

Happy Monday

I think my excitement to use my wireless remote now will really help me get back into the swing of posting on the regular.

It's "spirit week" at school this week, which means we can all dress more casual, hence the jeans.

I got a few questions about my wireless remote. I bought the cheap version from amazon that is compatible with my Nikon. It ended up costing about 15 or 16 bucks including shipping. Here is a link. Seriously it's so awesome!

I heart this remote!

So I bought a wireless shutter release remote a week or so ago, and it finally just showed up. Omg, I'm obsessed with how much easier it is to take pictures! Are all fellow fashion bloggers doing this? Was I the only one trying to use the stupid timer and failing? I'm telling you, it SO beats running to beat the timer, trying to pose cute, back and forth back and forth.

The only downside is I snapped 38 pics just now. I mean, I'm not photo whoring it up or anything....

Fun and bright, or distracting to the outfit?  This is one of the only good sources of light I can stand near in my apt, so the background isn't that neutral but the lighting is good.  Thoughts?

Ridiculous

Between when the janitor cleaned my classroom at 6am, and when I got there at 8, some punk kid (i'm assuming...) crammed paper towels in sink and turned it on. And my room was a lake when I showed up. It was not a very good start to the day.

 I wore the pink dress below for my art show I put on at the school I work at (I'm an art teacher) I got myself all fancied up for my "big night" just because I wanted an excuse to dress up. Haha!

When I fell out of the habit of posting a few weeks ago, I fell hard.

Sorry friends. I've been busy with lots of work things, fiddling with my camera, and lots of other excuses. I have a few more outfits I need to post.

I tried some outdoorsy shots, but I was having problems. The camera, other people going by (awkward much?) and feeling like an idiot. I gave up with no good pictures. NONE. Am I just stupid, or how can you get the camera to focus on the spot you will be standing with the timer?

The problem will be soon solved, I just got my wireless shutter release remote in the mail. I'll try again in a few weeks. When school is out.

Also, do my fellow bloggers just all live near really cool areas with trees? I feel like going out for shoots is more trouble than it's worth.

Sigh.

Travels, more portfolio building on my portrait shots (of other people, not myself) and wrapping up the school year in the next few weeks.

I'll come back on the regular. I promise.

Ok, I definitely fail at updates lately. I really hope I can get back into the swing of things, but I've been swamped lately with work and had little motivation to take the time to make these posts.
