Popping In

It's been quite a week, and I've been gone from the blog. I've been trying to finish up some custom paintings, and my grandpa died, so I was not really motivated about taking photos and posting. The longer you go without a post, the easier it is to just skip it.  Here are a few snapshots of outfits I haven't posted.

 Cardi: TJ Maxx
Tank: NY&Co

 Navy Tee: Target
Cardi: Old Navy
Scarf: Thrifted

 Tee: H&M
Cardi: Old Navy
Leaf Necklace: Not sure?

Too much yellow?

Flats: Wet Seal
Too short/shrunken jeans: Levis via tjmaxx
Tank: tjmaxx
Cardigan: Charlotte Russe
Earrings:?

Is the yellow too matchy matchy? Oh well. I love these shoes, but man, NO support. My feet kill tonight. Not cool.

Also, my hair is like, a wild animal. Out of control.

My coworker this morning said my outfit was cute...and then asked if I had alot of clothes. It went something like this : Do you have alot of clothes? You always wear cute things, you're like a barbie doll. You have a lot of clothes, don't you..."

I was like, uhhh yep, I guess I do, don't I? Haha. And then I walked away and I wasn't sure if it was a compliment or if she was silently judging me for having so many clothes.

Well, happy friday. I'm excited to sleep in this weekend, have skating practice, and paint my heart out. When I finish the paintings I'm working on, maybe I'll post a photo for you guys.

Not as cold as I thought

Pants: Bergners
Plaid top:Thrifted
Cardigan: Target

I wanted to wear the sweater button up combo, but really, after and hour I was DYING, so I ended up like this the rest of the day:

I guess I'll just have to save this combo for another day! The temp is all over the place these days, and inside our building we still have the heat going, so it's pretty toasty  inside. I guess it's a good thing I dress in layers, right?

Cute Giraffe!

I know this is totally non fashion bloggy, but I taught second grade how to draw a giraffe portrait this week. Two things to be proud of: my ability to break it down well enough that they did this awesome, and that they did this awesome! Couldn't you just die from the cuteness? For all you non kid people out there, 2nd grade is 7 years old.

 Flats: thrifted
Khakis: Kohls
Top: H&M
Jacket thing: NY&CO

As you may or may not be able to see from the last photo, the stripes on this are from the weave being a bit looser. This is like a really really really finely knit jacket. It already got a hole in it after one wear (snag) that I fixed. I just saw another giant hole near the shoulder. Yeah, I've worn it three times. I'm NEVER buying something with this kind of fine/loose type weave again. For reals. I hate to get rid of it because it was kinda expensive (not on sale when I bought it) Maybe I'll just try to sew up the other hole and hope I can get a few more wears out of it...

Hello, Spring!

Pants: Bergners
Tank: Gap (almost exact same at H&M)
Blue...cardigan? Tee shirt thing?: Thrifted
Necklace: Kohls clearance

Sinful Colors polish, BM stamps 205 (bigger loop petal flowers), 10(small flowers)

Well, the outfit doesn't really scream spring colors, but, it was nice and warm here today. Yay for that. It's starting to feel like summer! It's already 6pm and just as light out as when I'm at work. This is a crazy feeling. I keep thinking, oh, it's not dinner time yet, I just got home! since it's so light out, but that's not really true.

I kind of hate these stupid flowers on my nails. Well, I like the flowers, but they turned out awful. The little ones are terrible, and the big ones just weren't stamping consistently. It's been a long time since I did a stamping manicure though, so maybe I'm just out of practice? I do like the pale blue color though. I didn't put any topcoat on it...redoing them something new later this week for sure.

March Wrap Up

I've seen a few other people do a review of purchases they've made, and Whitney recently posted about all the stuff she got rid of. I like the idea of tracking all that. So here it goes.

Out with the old:

I guess I'm kinda over it with the grey huh? Haha! All of these items pretty much fit not quite right or weren't flattering. ADIOS! I don't need you taking up space in my closet. Time to get ruthless! (Although I still have that teal sweater in two more colors.) Don't judge me.

The jeans fit fine, for the first five seconds. They they stretched out and gave me a case of the saggy butt for the rest of the day. Sorry pants,I kind of hate you.

What I bought in March:

Platos Closet:
Brown Shoes

F21:
Sequin Scarf
Coral Button Down
Grey Cami Tank

Kohls:
Jean Shorts
Pink Dress
Navy Floral Tank
Pinkish Plaid Shirt
Red Flats

Old Navy:
Black Shorts
Green Plaid Shorts

Oh snap. And this was me really really trying hard not to buy things. Only because I had to pay my taxes this month, so I wanted to try to cut down on the clothes budget. Guess not huh? Well, in my defense, some of these items I had been searching for/wanting for a while, and happened to find them so I couldn't pass them up. And I literally went all summer with one pair of shorts last year that fit because I had waited too long to shop. This year I refused to let that happen again. So I went on a shorts buying spree.

Full of excuses, I know...

April 6, 2013

Hello again

I've been off for a while, enjoying my spring break. It's not been without its shopping (more on that later) but most days I didn't bother to take a picture of myself, or I was in super casual pajamas most of the day. Doot de doo.

Here's an outfit from last friday, and from today:

I bought this shirt at Old Navy just yesterday. I went back to use my ON Cash and found this in the clearance section. By the time all was said and done, I paid I think 1.97 for this shirt. So happy I felt kind eh about it before, when I tried it on and it was 12 or 15, and decided for that price I didn't need it. But I do when its only 2 dollahs! Shazam. That's better than the thrift store.

 Flats: Kohls
My stupid shrunken jeans I can't bring myself to get rid of yet: TJMaxx
Top: Old Navy

 Boots: Bergners
Skinnies: Love Culture
Top: F21

Watch out, my hair has a mind of it's own. Yikes!
