Winterize It

So over on Work Clothes, I Suppose, she threw out a little "winterize it" challenge. Is it cheating that I just threw a cardigan over this halter top?

My hair looks pretty awesome today. Woo!

 I bought that pendant a good long while after I got the ring. I saw it on some random jewelry selling site, where it sold "deals" for only like 10 minutes at a time, and there were four up at once on this one site. Couldn't remember what it was called for the life of me. But I think it matches my original ring pretty well, don't you?

Today, my students kept telling me all day I was wearing all cool colors (which are green blue purple). I taught them well. Haha!

Why isn't it warmer Wednesday.

Anywho, it's positively freezing outside. Literally. Some people at work chatted about how last year on the first day of spring, it was 80! And today it was in the 20's. Brrrrr. I have a feeling the sweaters will stick around quite a while longer.

This just in

So today, this happened:

I won a grant through the local news station! They played off cameras being in the room like the station just was filming all around the school, and then they surprised me with a giant check and told me I had won! Crazy! I'm SO glad I was having a good hair day and was wearing a cute shirt.Hah!

I bought this shirt with some Kohls cash I had, and I just LOVE it. It's so fun and bright. I might be a teeny bit too obsessed with plaid type patterns, but oh well. Maybe it'll be my thing?

I feel a little meh about this outfit. I picked it out in a bit of a rush this morning. I planned around the scarf. I got it on my trip a few weeks ago to Forever 21 and have been wanting to wearing. Neutral, but sparkly for a bit of fun!

Are my gray socks with brown shoes a fashion no no? I realized at the last minute I had no matching socks. Oops. Oh well.

In other news, I'm trying SO HARD not to go on a shopping overload. I know I've been buying things, but I've been restraining myself. ALOT. (Although probably not as much as I should. eep) Maybe its the new season, or there is just alot of cute stuff out there right now. Is anyone else having the urge to buy everything in sight? Or just me?

Seriously love this scarf! Ahhhh so fun. I feel like my outfits get rather dark sometimes with all the black pants I wear, I wish I had a better way of wearing color or mixing it up on my bottom half during winter.

 Part of me is excited for this warmer weather,both for skirts and in general, but part of me is sad that all the sweaters and scarves will start to be too warm soon. I've not yet blogged over a summer or thought about my outfits much in warmer months...so it will be interesting to see how to spice things up when you are wearing a bit less layers. Good thing I already follow so many awesome bloggers for inspiration, huh?

I hate Daylight Savings Time

I hate early morning meetings with a passion. And I hate them even more after daylight savings time in the spring. BOOOO. I definitely woke up and 6:55 and had to be in a meeting at 7:15. Considering my school is only 6-7 minutes away (thank goodness)  I deserve an award for getting ready so fast. Don't you think? (The secret is, brush your teeth and put on your pants at the same time- one hand for each!) HAH!
