Haircut

I swear I cannot get this white balance thing right. Ugh!

Here's before and after my haircut, yesterday, and today in pink. Overall, I just needed these layers around my face so my hair wasn't just hanging there when I straightened it.  Added more layers in back too, hoping it will give my curl a little more bounce with less weight. Happily, it looks and feels just as long as before. Because you know, as a person with long hair that wants to keep it that way, the last thing you want from a haircut is for it to be shorter. Hah! I'm such a weirdo.

 Shorts: Old Navy
Top: Thrifted

I realized I really wanted the shot of the back so I took it just now. Much later in the day, stupid lighting. Am I the only one who is OCD about that? Gosh it drives me bonkers that I can't get the background WHITE. It's a white wall for crying out loud. Phooey

Going Greek

Sandals and Top: Athens, Greece
Melissinos Sandals
Skirt: Burlington Coat Factory

This is a greecian theme outfit, I guess mostly because of the sandals, and that two of the items I'm wearing, I bought in Greece.

These sandals are legit, too. All over Athens you will find tons of sandals, all part of the tourist trap. This was especially the case when I was there in 09, and the gladiator sandal was all the rage.

But these are real leather, completely handmade, and custom fitted to your feet in the shop before you buy. (I had a couple straps adjusted to better fit with width of my foot, and extra holes punched in buckle straps just in case) The shop is overflowing with sandals, which just makes it all the more awesome. If you are ever in Athens, you NEED to go here and buy his sandals. It doesn't get any more authentic than this.

Mr. Melissino

I wasn't kidding when I said the place is overflowing with sandals!

Chilly Friday

Bf works from home on Fridays, so he usually comes to visit me for the weekend Thursday night, and he worked from my place while I was at school, and he was done the same time I got out. Now that I'm on summer break, he's here and so am I. I told him not to look at me while I took pictures. He did anyway. I started cracking up....

 Jeans: Levis via TJMaxx
Top: Old Navy, less than $2 on clearance!
Anchor necklace: Charming Charlie

Happy Friday!

What A Difference A Diffuser Makes

Seriously, I really am amazed at the power of a good hair gel and a diffuser on a blow dryer. Check out my awesome hair! I thought I'd try to go the air dry route this summer, but after my hair dried limp and blah yesterday, it just left me feeling dumpy all day. Voluminous bouncy curls definitely make me feel a little more glam! Oh, and a little makeup doesn't hurt either! Now if I could just remember the lip gloss!

Skirt: Burlington Coat Factory
Tank: Banana Republic Outlet
Leaf Earrings: Ten Thousand Villages Boutique
Star Necklaces: Love Culture super cheap. Maybe 3 bucks?

The ironic thing about this shirt, is now I realize I just wore it not to long ago...and I really HATE that it's so high maintenance to dry flat. All those zig zag layers are not sewn down, and since it's a jersey material, it just wants to curl curl curl up on the edge, so I always have to weight down the edge with other random objects to prevent it from doing that. I do love this shirt though!

Comfy Clothes

So I'm going to put a whole bunch into one post. Here is goes:

Ins/Outs of  April and May:

Out: 10 items to a consignment store. Some of the skirts were hard to part with, but they just didn't fit anymore. I didn't take photos of any of it.

Two of the items already sold, and I made 4.40 off of them. Not much but better than nothing.

In:

shoptherage.com
Chevron Maxi Skirt: 34.00

 Charlotte Russe:
Pink Skirt: 2.99
Black/White Chiffon Tank 19.99

Old Navy:
Green Tank: 1.97
Blue Stripe Tank Dress: 15.94 (coupon)
Striped Henley Shirt: 1.78

Target:

Black Asymmetrical Zip Up: 34.99

Body Central:
Purple Necklace: 3.90

Charming Charlie:
 Anchor Necklace: Around 6?

F21:
Sunglasses: 5.80

Total:
 127.36-4.40=  $122.96

Doing great budget wise. Some of these items were a real splurge for me ( the black jacket and the maxi skirt) since they weren't on sale in any way, plus I had to pay to ship the skirt, but I got a steal on a ton of other items so it balances out I think.

Todays outfit, comfy and casual, without being in my actual pajamas. Haha.  No shoes, no makeup. No hairdryer. My hair looks like a hot wild mess without a diffuser, but I'm not leaving the house, so who cares? P.S., It's still half wet in the photos.

Skirt: Burlington Coat Factory, only 13 bucks!
Tank: TJ Maxx
Shades: NYand Co

Natural ombre. Huh. I think it's because the ends are dry and the top half isn't...

Summer is here!

Well, not officially according to the calendar, but I'm on break! It's been a whirlwind week and I've fallen a big off the wagon again. But I'm gonna get right back to it! So excited for summer stylin. I think I'll be messing around with more hair, makeup, and nail stuff this summer too, which I'll prolly document for you all myself.

Here's what I wore on teacher institute day:

 Sandals: Shoe Carnival
Dress: Old Navy
Bubble Necklace mini: Amazon.com

Despite wearing makeup, it looks like I just rolled out of bed. I know subtle is good, but perhaps I need to step it up a notch? Especially on my poor naked lips.

Polish: Revlon 640 fearless. One of my new favs.

I think it's also safe to say I might be wearing this dang bubble necklace with just about everything now. So much for not giving in to the trend. At least I'm getting my moneys worth right?

Also, I'm in a shopping slump. It's kinda makin me sad. Went to several stores, found nothing but a clearance plain green tank top at Old Navy. I'll have to do a May purchase/budget post, ala Franish and figure out what I actually got.I can't even remember! I don't know if I bought this dress this month, or last. probably early May...it's been a looooong month!
